  So Who the Heck Am I, and Why Should You Listen to Me?

I've been in the pet grooming industry longer than most groomers have been alive.  Three generations of my family have been in this business.  I’ve owned some of the most successful and busiest pet grooming salons in the world, earning over six figures in a month (not a year!). 

I have purchased many pet grooming salons, boarding kennels, and the like., that had HORRIBLE reputations when I bought them.  I turned all of them around to be thriving businesses in 6 short months.  I buy these disasters because I love the challenge and I know I can do it.  It became a hobby of mine after I learned the secrets to success in this business.

In all these years, I have been continually shocked by the massive amount of down right ridiculous information told to groomers about how to be successful.  I was fortunate enough to have a great mentor who was VERY successful in business and he taught me what it takes to be successful in ANY business. 

I became a real Multi-Millionaire in the pet grooming industry, not someone who just talks about being successful.  Most of the groomers handing out advice about how to be successful in this business, have no clue how to actually accomplish it.      

What I’ve seen in this industry is that Almost Everything You’ve Ever Heard About Building A Successful Grooming Business Is Pure BS!  And here’s why: In this industry we have a genuine case of the blind leading the blind.  People think that being a good groomer makes you a good business person.  Unbelievable! 

For over twelve years I had a private grooming business mentoring programme.  During that time, one of my very successful protégé’s told me that she was called upon to “confidentially” coach one of the TOP International award winning groomers in the World (a very well known name!) in how to turn her pet grooming business around from near bankruptcy.  What does that tell you about the business expertise of these World Class Pet Groomers?  It’s completely typical. 

Mark Victor Hansen, the co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, said to me recently that the difference between wealthy people and non-wealthy people is the way they think.  You can’t think like a groomer and thrive in business.  Yet, that is exactly what most groomers do and that’s why most of them struggle just to get by. 

If you don’t want to be challenged and even angered, don’t watch this video!  You’ll either be angry because I stepped on your toes, or you’ll be angered by all the bull you’ve been fed on the groomer forums, at the grooming trade shows, the seminars and by all the other broke “grooming experts” out there telling you how to run your business as if they know how. 

I had a great business mentor who always said, “Never take advice from someone who’s pile of cash isn’t bigger than yours”.  Have you seen the financial statements of these “experts”?  I doubt you would be taking advice from them if you did. 

If you want to make more money, you need money making skills.  I'm going to teach them to you.  In the meantime, stop taking money making advice from people who's pile of cash isn’t as big as you want yours to be. 

The concepts I am about to share with you apply to just about ANY business.  I have proven them repeatedly in the pet grooming industry which is the family business I grew up in, but I’ve used the exact same principals in many other industries.  All of my business ventures have been wildly successful and yours can be too.
