The location of The Monkey Farm in Playa Ocotal is just fantastic: a nice hide-out in the wilderness, no neighbors but the howler monkeys, yet close to town and a mere half mile from the beautiful Ocotal beach where you can snorkel and spear fish. Around the farm there are miles and miles of adjoining dirt roads and trails with streams, rivers and waterfalls. These are great for riding horses, quads, mountain bikes, dirt bikes or hiking.
Only a 5 minutes ride away is Playas del Coco with night life, restaurants and bars, live music, grocery stores, banks, doctors and dentists. Boating, fishing, snorkeling, diving, surfing and all water sports are available to those interested. We are only 20 minutes to the new CIMA hospital and 40 minutes to the Liberia International Airport.
This is a natural habitat for both howler and white face monkeys, parrots and all kinds of other tropical wildlife.
